Puteri Harbour is an integral part of UEM’s Nusajaya development

A new age in turnkey development
NUSAJAYA UEM

Located in the Iskandar Development Region (IDR) in South Johor, UEM Group’s Nusajaya development project is a 24,000-acre integrated urban development, the company’s flagship project and a key component of the Malaysian government’s 9th development plan. As the key driver of IDR and the largest private sector development in southeast Asia, Nusajaya is a prime location for investment and financial and business opportunities at local, regional and international level.
Nusujaya is characterised by seven signature developments, is fully integrated and designed to encompass the highest standards of business and leisure facilities, offering a quality of life unequalled in the region for those who will live, work and play there. The overall development has been meticulously planned to be environmentally sensitive, sustainable and cutting edge.

The seven signature developments comprise the Johor State New Administrative Centre - the new seat of the Johor State government; Puteri Harbour - an exclusive waterfront lifestyle destination comprising commercial, residential and tourism infrastructure; Southern Industrial and Logistics Clusters - the thematic ‘green’ industrial and logistics centre with easy access to five seaports and two international airports; the EduCity - a centre of learning consisting of world class universities and colleges, as well as international schools; Medical City - a centre for medical research, treatment and study that is set to be the regional benchmark for excellence; an international destination resort, complete with theme parks, hotels, real estate and retail resort amenities with residential developments catering to the diverse needs of home buyers - Nusa Idaman, a 256-acre mixed residential development; Horizon Hills, whose first phase was launched in March of this year and which includes an 18-hole golf course; and Ledang Heights, a 346-acre high-end residential project built to a ‘resort village’ concept.

“If you remove the geographical boundary, it is only half an hour to Singapore,” explains Dato’ Ahmad Pardas Senin. “Due to the close proximity of Nusajaya to Singapore and the limited space available in Singapore for development, we have seen a lot of interest from Singaporean investors. Many companies have come to Nusajaya, and many other industries in Singapore are following suit.”
