fraternities. These include Institute of Engineers,
Malaysia, Award for Outstanding Engineering Achievement
for the North-South Expressway (1994) and the ASEAN
Outstanding Engineering Achievement Award for the
PUTRA Light Rail Transit System (2000). Opus has also
garnered several industry-related honours, most recently
with the ACENZ Silver Award of Excellence for the
seismic safety evaluation and upgrade of the Aviemore
Hydro Dam on the Waitaki River, New Zealand (2007);
Transportation Engineering Award for a strategic planning
study for ten Highway 1 bridges, corridor planning
and traffic studies in British Columbia, Canada (2007);
and the International Green Apple Award for outstanding
structural design work of a derelict former brewery
building and its conversion to a Community Centre
in Hampshire, United Kingdom (2006).
